On November 22, 2010 Kutaisi city will host a business forum for Georgian businessmen and investors. The event is initiated by Kutaisi city hall and aims at exploring the economic development opportunities of the city, presenting privatization objects and the future perspectives of purchasing and using property. The business forum is supported by H.E Nika Gilauri, Prime Minister and Mrs. Vera Kobalia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.
From 2012 the parliament of Georgia will move to Kutaisi city what will prove the city s status as a second capital of Georgia. The existence of the free industrial zone and relocation of different government structures to Kutaisi city will improve and advance the local investment climate.
At this stage Kutaisi investment climate, economic potential and business opportunities are becoming of significant interest to investors. Currently the city features developed infrastructure, low prices on land and assets, stable criminal environment, attractive geographic location, variety of natural resources in nearby areas, cheap and qualified labour force, industrial experience and excellent opportunities for the development of tourism.
